As the Autumn leaves start to fall we are pleased to be welcoming several new players as we start to practice some new pieces along with preparing our usual seasonal Christmas music too.
It was truly the end of an era as Ted Thomas retired recently after an unprecedented 70 years playing trombone with Band. Ted joined the band in 1951 at the age of 19 so celebrates his 89th birthday tomorrow Monday 6th September 2021. He joined the band for their 2021 Summer Concerts photocall on Thursday 2nd September 2021 and can be seen below in the front row next to Phil Cleave our current MD.
Indoor Practice at last – the road to recovery last night (24th May) – Masks when not playing, 2m apart, bellcovers and behind tables to assure social distancing.
